DISCO INFERNO ADVENTURE RACING
Silly humans, serious terrain…
Two of our members have known each other since birth. Two met while working on polar expeditions to Antarctica. The other two crossed paths while both separately running the tallest peak on Vancouver Island. Together, we are Disco Inferno, a four-person Adventure Race Team based on Canada’s West Coast.
We share a mutual passion for pushing the limits of endurance and exploration. Individually, our personal adventures have taken us to many far flung places around the globe. We may be new to the world of adventure racing, but don’t let us fool you with our rag tag appearance: we are all experienced multi-sport athletes in our own right.
Our ethos is one that embraces a sense of duality. Our team name roughly translates to learning through suffering, but those who meet us on course can confirm that we spend most of our time giggling. We are quickly becoming known in the adventure racing world for our lightheartedness, laughter, and strong team dynamics.

Vancouver Island Human Powered Circumnavigation Record Holder: Held since 2014 (Russell)
Yukon River Quest 2017: 1st place solo, 7th overall (Graham)
Buckin Hell 50km Trail Race 2018: 2nd place woman (Freya)
Expedition Colorado 2023: 1st place overall (Max and Russell)
Gorge AR 2023: 1st place solo, 2nd overall (Russell)
Wilderness Traverse 2023: 1st place women’s team, 6th overall (Freya and others)
Rainier Raid 2024: 1st place overall (Graham, Freya, and two others)
Rainier Raid 2024: 1st place solo, 2nd overall (Max)
Expedition Oregon 2024 (America’s Toughest Race): 7th place overall (Full Disco Inferno Team)
